Exhibitions
Two exhibitions in one year was always going to be a challenge for a small group like RMRG, especially after the highly
profitable and successful show in February. However, the 49th Rochdale
exhibition in November was also a resounding success on all fronts,
attendance-wise and financially.
The layouts were all positively received and feedback on the web forums shows that the balance was right, not just for layouts but for the traders and demonstrations. Exhibitors expressed a thank-you for the usual and legendary Rochdale MRG hospitality – and were quick to offer their next layouts for a second bite at the cherry! Visitors enjoyed the refreshments and facilities. Children and adults nearly wore Thomas out! Unfortunately, we still have no suitable venue for what will be our 50th anniversary show. For that auspicious occasion, the club wants the choice of layouts and venue to be right. We are looking at the planning and promotion of what we’re sure will be our next successful show, and one worth the wait! Rochdale members continue to make progress with their individual layouts and will exhibit at the venues listed on the RMRG On Tour page. Watch this spot for further details! |
